A study measuring traffic flow in and around the Angelo State University campus - including Johnson Street - and other parts of San Angelo is in, and officials are planning a joint meeting to discuss the results, said a Texas Tech University System official.

Mike Ellicott, vice chancellor for facilities, planning and construction with the Lubbock-based system, said no idea "is off the table" when it comes to finding a solution that ASU and the city can work on to make the street safer and not adversely affect traffic flow. Several ideas could be tried for a time to see whether they work, such as narrowing the lanes on Johnson Street, reducing the speed limit or putting in a speed hump on the lanes.
